This year we’ll have over 150 athletes competing at the Melbourne marathon, the biggest participating team by far. It’s all about giving it a go when you’re with us.

Thursday - CBD Night Run

On Thursday night, after work, sometimes the runners gather at the Pllars of Wisdom, for a run along Yarra River and the night view of Melbourne city. A distance of 10-15km is the usual course. This is a casual and relax run after 4 weekdays of work and pre-celebrate the coming Friday.

Saturday parkrun

Every Saturday morning, people from all walks of life come together to connect, to make new friends, to challenge themselves, and to start the weekend on a high. It’s 5km free event for everyone because of the volunteers who give up their valuable time to make it happen every week. We are at Gardiners Creek most of the time for this event, and each year we organise tours to other parkrun spots to gather, experience, and celebrate.

Stories From Our Crews

Here are some real life stories shared by the crew of their running journey with MRC thus far.

Started running with MRC on the 19th November 2020 (debut run) when the group was found by Jaime & Alice branching off from the city running group. So amazing to see the team growing so big and quick. The synergy of the team is exceptional! So glad to be able to run with different ability running team mate, sharing our joy and sorrow. Sorrow actually refer to “running injuries” not unhappiness. In fact, the joy, fun and happiness are always present within the team.

Runner

What’s up everyone, I’m Colby aka MRC trouble-maker😄 I joined MRC since 2021, I start my running journey since 12 years ago and dropped when I came to Australia, kind of regret that I been lazy in past 7 years, however thx covid to brought me back. I’m the only one aiming for short distance 10km in the squad. Sound crazy but my target is break the HK’s 10km record. Run until none by Colby

Runner

I love running because running is the sport that given me space, peace and joy. I used to be running alone before I meet MRC team. I feel more motivation and happiness to train with MRC team. Running with MRC has a unique power to help us move forward and overcome life's obstacles. We run we share we care we eat and have fun together 😊
